On completion of training, successful candidates should be competent in:

  • Introduction and history of the defibrillator
  • Recap of CPR and respiratory arrest
  • Basic life support/Chain of survival to include the good samaritan law
  • Electro - Conduction system
  • Practical scenarios
  • Procedures (Report forms and cleaning your equipment).

This course is suitable for anyone interested in furthering their emergency aid skills or takes part in an organised first aid scheme. For health care workers, this course serves as a basic module.
