A Practice Nurse (LC) and I tried out an MMR vaccine bottle with our Ampoule opener at a local surgery yesterday. The ampoule slid in to the barrel easily but was slightly loose. When the central blue choke was raised the vaccine bottle stayed firm in
place and the rubber top was easily accessible for reconstituting the lyophilised vaccine (powder) with a needle attached to a syringe containing sterile (supplied) solvent and the Ampoule opener top moved to a side.
